The Dominican Republic is one of the few countries that does not have an International Tax Law Treaty with the United States but has reached an agreement in substance with the U.S. regarding FATCA Agreement (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act).
While The Dominican Republic is not a member country of part of the OECD, it has participated in OECD committees and has indicated it will may begin reporting under GATCA/CRS (Global Account Tax Compliance Act/Common Reporting Standard).
