Bermuda is one of the few countries that does not have an International Tax Law Treaty with the United States but has reached a FATCA Agreement “in substnace” (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act) with the United States.
While Bermuda is not a member country of part of the OECD, it has participated in OECD committees and has indicated it will begin reporting under GATCA/CRS (Global Account Tax Compliance Act/Common Reporting Standard).
